Church for homosexuals stirs anger

In Jane Scott's reporting of the "gay life" of Cleveland, a homosexual church service has her weeping, but I was choking with disgust. To equate the early Christians with these people is as sacrilegious as their religious beliefs.

Their minister claims there is no mention of homosexuality in the New Testament but, like many people, he would rather live a lie than accept the truth.

These people are sick and to treat them as healthy and normal is the height of folly. To grant them social acceptability will produce a society unfit for our children.

This is in response to the July 12 article, "Church helps homosexuals." Dan Little and the Rev. Joseph J. Lang agree that the New Testament

says nothing about homosexuality. What Bible were they reading? I have the King James version, which is universally accepted.

In Romans Chapter 1, Verses 24 through 32, the Bible clearly speaks against what is known today as lesbianism and homosexuality.

Are they ignoring this passage of Scripture or what is their interpretation of it?

Recently I read an article in this

paper about homosexuals finding a haven in church. I sincerely hope that the average citizen has not been misled by such nonsense. Romans 127-32 says that homosexuals are worthy of death!

Homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of God. It was because of homosexuality that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed (Genesis 19:1-25). "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination" (Lev. 18:22).

Webster's dictionary says that an abomination is "extreme loathing. A detestable act or object; gross vice."

It is beyond me how any homosexual can twist the Scripture to make it appear that God approves of the sin of homosexuality, when God makes it plain that he hates it...
